On Sept. 26 Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 2246: The Suicide Prevention Policies in Schools bill, which recognized the vital role of educators in recognizing warning signs and making appropriate referrals. Beginning in the 2017-18 school year, all schools with grades 7-12 must implement guidelines and programs that address pupil suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.

This webinar sought to provide California education leaders an opportunity to learn how California LEAs are using Kognito simulations as a turnkey solution for professional development that cost-effectively drives sustainable changes in skills, attitudes and real-life behaviors related to identifying, approaching and referring students in distress.
