As vaccinations are distributed and the pandemic eases, campuses are preparing for students to campus this fall. New and returning students will bring with them all that they’ve experienced over the past year — grief, mourning, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, and political unrest. They’ll need support from the entire campus community... but what does that look like? How can faculty and staff prepare to support students when nobody is quite sure what to expect?

Join us for a panel discussion with three higher education leaders who will discuss the redefined “sophomore slump” — what they are expecting when students return, and the types of conversations campus members need to be prepared to have with students as they adjust to their new normal.

Melissa Scuderi, Assistant Director of Residential Living, Student Affairs from Piedmont College, Fran’Cee Brown-McClure, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students from Union College, and Donald Coleman, Director of Student Transitions from the University of Georgia will share their unique perspectives and expertise.

Tune in to gain insights that will help guide your own plans and give you a clearer understanding of how you can help facilitate a smooth transition back to campus that leaves students feeling supported and engaged.
